Guaimaca, Honduras
Each year our volunteer brigade travels to Guaimaca to deliver a full clinic's worth of dental care in a single week — free of charge, to people who would otherwise go without.
A complete clinic, built in a week
Smile Again travels internationally to bring dental care to communities without reliable access to it. Since our inaugural trip to Guaimaca, our brigades have delivered more than $1,000,000 of dental care, treating 697 dental patients and 235 medical patients — and the mission grows every year.
Volunteer dentists, specialists, hygienists, and helpers run the clinic end to end: intake and triage, restorative and surgical treatment, hygiene, and medications — all coordinated so each patient is seen, treated, and followed up within the week.
A week in Guaimaca
From the chair to a finished smile
Triage & planning
Every patient receives an exam and a personalized treatment plan, prioritized for the time and resources available that week.
Treatment
Restorative, surgical, and hygiene care delivered chairside by volunteer dentists and specialists, with medications dispensed on site.
Same-trip digital lab
An on-site digital lab designs and produces crowns during the trip, so patients leave with finished restorations — not a promise to return.
Three brigades in Guaimaca
2,087 procedures, two brigades
Every X-ray, filling, and crown from the 2024 and 2025 trips, counted from the clinic's own records.
Our next mission: July 2026
We return to Guaimaca this summer. Help us get there — fund supplies and travel, or join the brigade as a volunteer.
